After taking home the award in his first month as a Premier League manager in August, Postecoglou has also been awarded the September Manager of the Month Award for the 2023\/2024 season. In the North London Derby, Spurs were able to leave with their heads held high after a gritty and well-deserved point on the road. In the final game of the month – they were somewhat fortunate in their controversial win over Liverpool. It was a match that saw the Reds have two players sent off and were denied a clear goal due to VAR confusion. Spurs won the game due to a Joel Matip last-minute own goal.<\/span><\/p>\n

In winning the award in back-to-back months, Postecoglou becomes the first manager to ever win the award in his first two months of Premier League management.<\/span><\/p>\n

Son started all four of their September fixtures in the centre-forward position, and it has worked wonders, with him scoring key goals.\u00a0<\/span>The South Korean international became the first Spurs player since John Hendry to score two goals away at Arsenal. He continued his impressive month with a well-taken goal from close range at home to Liverpool. With these exploits, he was the highest-scoring player in the month.<\/span><\/p>\n
