According to Mark Critchley of the Athletic, the winger has\u00a0<\/span>returned to England<\/span><\/a>\u00a0from Brazil and will meet Greater Manchester Police over the allegations. The same source indicates that Antony was spoken to by police in Sao Paulo but has been granted permission to fly back to Manchester.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gabriela Cavallin, the alleged victim and former partner of United’s Antony, spoke publicly for the first time on these assault\u00a0<\/span>allegations in an interview<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in June 2023. He has denied all accusations and has vowed to clear his name. Cavallin claims that the violence started in June 2022 while she was pregnant. There have been\u00a0<\/span>further allegations from<\/span><\/a>\u00a0two women in Brazil, which Antony has also denied.<\/span><\/p>\n

The number 21 right winger had started all four games of the Premier League season before the club officially announced on September 10<\/a> that it had: “agreed with Antony that he will delay his return until further notice in order to address the allegations.”<\/span><\/p>\n

This is one of several off-field issues Ten Hag has had to deal with since his appointment as the United manager.
