With personal terms already agreed<\/a>, it could only be a matter of time before Manchester United complete their priority signing of the summer. However, the original transfer fee offered appears to be way off what is required. This will not deter the Red Devils as they are set to make an improved offer for England star Mason Mount according to Fabrizio Romano<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Red Devils and Chelsea Some Way a Part in Their Valuation <\/span><\/h3>\n

Manchester United<\/a> have already made a bid of \u00a340 million for Chelsea\u2019s Mason Mount. This was quickly rejected as the opening offer was \u00a330 million short of the fee the Blues are hoping for. <\/span><\/p>\n

Personal terms between United and Mount\u2019s camp are believed to have been agreed upon. Now, United are set to make an improved offer for the England star with the Red Devils confident that they can reach an agreement to bring Mount to the Theatre of Dreams. <\/span><\/p>\n

Mason Mount Has Just One Year Left on Current Contract<\/span><\/h3>\n

Manchester United\u2019s confidence in landing the England midfielder sooner rather than later comes from the fact that he has just one year left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge. With any contract talks seemingly over, Mount wants to move on and United want Mount. <\/span><\/p>\n

According to Romano, United have made it known to the England star that they want him to join them. And that he is their priority signing. Romano revealed the following in his Daily Briefing<\/a>: \u201cThe player appreciates ten Hag\u2019s way of playing and his insistence on bringing Mount to Old Trafford. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an exciting project and the player is remaining calm about the situation as there is no issue at all regarding personal terms.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018United are also happy as they know Mount is keen to make the move. The main outstanding issue is Chelsea\u2019s position on the price.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n
