Oxford’s young striker Gatlin O’Donkor narrowly missed out on the League One \u2018Apprentice of the Season<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

The 18-year-old, who had scored twice in 34 senior appearances before picking up an injury against Cheltenham Town, was pipped to the award by Charlton Athletic centre-back Zach Mitchell, with Barnsley striker Fabio Jalo also missing out.<\/p>\n

O’Donkor also netted five goals as the young U’s reached a historic FA Youth Cup quarter-final, where they were beaten by Manchester City.<\/p>\n
