Fabrizio Romano has revealed via his official Twitter page<\/a> the price Sunderland will need to pay should they wish to keep Edouard Michut at the Stadium of Light. The Black Cats have agreed a fee of \u00a32.5 million and up to \u00a35 million should they achieve promotion and the player agrees to a permanent move from Paris Saint-Germain.<\/p>\n

Since arriving from PSG, 20-year-old Michut took time to settle in his new surroundings and new country. His talent was there for all to see having worked with the likes of Lionel Messi<\/a>, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar. However, the youngster needed time to adapt to the English and Championship style of play. <\/span><\/p>\n

Fleeting appearances followed but it was the injury to captain Corry Evans that gave the young Frenchman his opportunity to <\/span>play regularly. Since then he has featured in the starting 11 frequently and has impressed fans and management alike. <\/span><\/p>\n

It has been his form that has attracted at least one other club to declare an interest with Premier League club Fulham among others monitoring the situation. However, after Sunderland<\/a> have invested time and money into developing the player, it would be a surprise if they didn’t take up the opportunity to sign the player this summer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunderland’s Loan Star Enjoying Life on Wearside<\/h3>\n

Speaking after the recent away win at Norwich City, Sunderland’s loan star Edouard Michut spoke about his time and experience in the North East. He said<\/a>: \u201cIt\u2019s really nice, we have a good team with good players. I think that\u2019s what I needed when I came to Sunderland.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s about playing games with good intensity and the Championship is a really tough league, but it\u2019s good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Head Coach Tony Mowbray Impressed<\/h3>\n

Tony Mowbray admitted recently that he is a big admirer of Sunderland’s loan signing from PSG. He said<\/a>: “He’s got a great spirit within him. He’s a waif of a boy and yet he uses every ounce of that body to get stuck in, really.<\/p>\n

“He wriggles underneath people’s arms and gets past them. He’s a very clever footballer. I don’t think he has suffered through the physicality of the game, but he understands that his talent and technique has to overcome the physicality of lesser footballers who are trying to stop him. That’s always been the case – some of the world’s greatest footballers have been diminutive and slight.<\/p>\n

“As long as they can handle the ball, and handling the ball is very easy for Edouard – he doesn’t need to look at the ball to control it and see the pass and the weight of it – he’s a very clever kid. He’s doing exceptionally well, and hopefully, he just keeps on growing into the team.”<\/p>\n
