Former Hull City loanee Di’Shon Bernard is in talks with Portsmouth about a loan move from Manchester United<\/a>, the Daily Mail’s Simon Jones reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bernard, 22, is discussing a third loan move away from Old Trafford after successful stints with Salford City and Hull City.<\/p>\n

The defender debuted for United in November 2019 – a 2-1 loss to Astana in the Europa League but hasn’t played a competitive game for them since.<\/p>\n

Bernard has proven his ability in loans with Salford in League Two and then Hull in the Championship. A drop down to League One would represent a relative surprise, however, the centre-back will no doubt be keen to get some games under his belt after recovering from injury.<\/p>\n

Should a deal go through, a string of good performances with Pompey over the next six months could do his career the world of good in the long run.<\/p>\n

Bernard became a popular player at Hull last season before a change in manager seemed to end his run in the team, with him largely dropped to the bench for the remainder of the campaign.<\/p>\n

He is primarily a centre-back but has featured at right-back too.
