Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked with the Ecuadorian international, with Mikel Arteta’s team most recently\u00a0<\/span>making a bid of \u00a360 million<\/span><\/a>\u00a0which was rejected by the Seagulls.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently, there have been rumours that top clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing Caicedo, with the player suggesting it would be in Brighton’s best interest to sell him to one of these clubs.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a statement,\u00a0<\/span>Caicedo stated<\/span><\/a>, “I am grateful to Mr Bloom and Brighton for giving me the chance to come to the Premier League and I feel I have always done my best for them. I always play football with a smile and with heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I am the youngest of 10 siblings from a poor upbringing in Santa Domingo in Ecuador. My dream always to be the most decorated player in the history of Ecuador.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are known for their willingness to spend big on top talent, and Caicedo is considered one of the most promising young players in the world. This could be a great opportunity for the Seagulls to reinvest in the team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Caicedo also mentioned<\/span><\/a>, “I am proud to be able to bring in a record transfer fee for Brighton which would allow them to reinvest it and help the club continue to be successful.” He also showed his appreciation towards the fans by saying, “The fans have taken me into their hearts and they will always be in my heart so I hope they can understand why I want to take up this magnificent opportunity.”<\/span><\/p>\n
