Dominik Livakovic – 5<\/h3>\n

Gave away the penalty that put his team behind and should have done better on Julian Alvarez’s first goal.<\/p>\n

Borna Sosa – 5.5<\/h3>\n

Didn’t do much wrong but also wasn’t very active in either attack or defence.<\/p>\n

Josko Gvardiol – 6<\/h3>\n

Gvardiol will be back for future World Cups but he ends off this campaign with a solid outing.<\/p>\n

Dejan Lovran -5.5<\/h3>\n

Not a bad night from the veteran but he also wasn’t very good, despite this being an important game<\/p>\n

Josip Juranovic – 6<\/h3>\n

Pretty strong on the defensive side with a number of strong tackles made. Also had a decent showing on the ball.<\/p>\n

Mateo Kovacic – 7<\/h3>\n

The Chelsea man enjoyed a good performance and really tried to make things happen for his team. His passing efficiency was second to none.<\/p>\n

Marcelo Brozovic – 5.5<\/h3>\n

Lost the ball a few times and didn’t offer much defensively. His passing was accurate all night long but they weren’t very incisive.<\/p>\n

Luka Modric – 6.5<\/h3>\n

A typically professional performance for one of Croatia’s greatest players<\/a>. His night was sadly summed up by the ball hitting him in the face before he was subbed off.<\/p>\n

Ivan Perisic – 6.5<\/h3>\n

Was a bright spark creatively who gave it his all throughout the game. The best chance of scoring was likely to come through him.<\/p>\n

Andrej Kramaric – 5.5<\/h3>\n

His link-up play was decent but he couldn’t carve out any chances despite leading the line for his nation.<\/p>\n

Mario Pasalic – 5<\/h3>\n

Pretty much anonymous on the wing. He managed to get off one shot but rarely did anything when he had the ball at his feet.<\/p>\n
