The pair had scans on Saturday morning to assess the damage, and both were ruled out for the remainder of the World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>The CBF, as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.co.uk\/football\/brazil-bra\/story\/4823870\/brazils-gabriel-jesusalex-telles-out-of-world-cup-through-injury-sources\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ESPN<\/a>, said in a statement: \u201cPlayers Alex Telles and Gabriel Jesus underwent tests Saturday morning accompanied by team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar and a MRI on their right knees confirmed the extent of the injuries and the impossibility of recovery in time to participate in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Jesus Out of Premier League Restart<\/h2>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Gabriel Jesus will miss the rest of the World Cup, sources close to player and Brazil confirm.
