The 2022 FIFA World Cup is right around the corner. Last Word on Football has decided to examine every group, assessing the team’s chances. Who will reach the knockout stage from Group H?<\/p>\n

On paper, Portugal<\/a> is undoubtedly the strongest team in the group, but they often fail to come together as a team, notably missing out on the 2023 Nations League Finals at the last hurdle. Also, the Portuguese failed to make it far at the 2018 World Cup and Euro 2020. In fairness, they notably won the 2019 Nations League.<\/p>\n Portugal often had to face strong teams, but they should still be able to do better. That said, they should be able to top the group ahead of Uruguay, with Ghana and South Korea competing for minor placings.<\/p>\n Uruguay’s manager Diego Alonso has done better for his side than Fernando Santos has recently done for Portugal. This means Uruguay<\/a> also have a real chance to win the group. However, the Portuguese should be favoured over Uruguay heading into the World Cup. However, all trends end at some point.
