Pitsea and second-year scholar Fraser Barnsley at Evesham.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oufc.co.uk\/news\/2022\/september\/eddie-brearey-loan\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Speaking to the club&#8217;s official website<\/a>, goalkeeping coach Wayne Brown said: \u201cThey are all excellent young goalkeepers and push each other in training all the time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There is nothing quite like playing regular competitive senior football so these loans are hopefully going to help them develop as well as helping the teams they are at.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Jones Set for Malta Selection<\/h3>\n<p>Oxford winger Jodi Jones is set to be called up by Malta for their September internationals, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordmail.co.uk\/sport\/21229144.oxford-united-winger-jodi-jones-set-malta-nations-league-call-up\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to the Oxford Mail.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 24-year-old, who is eligible for citizenship through his father, would miss Oxford&#8217;s clash against Fleetwood on September 24.<\/p>\n<p>The Maltese Football Association has applied to award the\u00a0winger a passport and the process is expected\u00a0to be completed this month.<\/p>\n<p>Jones has made just one start and two substitute appearances this season following his arrival in the summer.<\/p>\n<h3>Shrewsbury Match Postponed<\/h3>\n<p>As was the case across the Football League, Oxford&#8217;s match at Shrewsbury Town was postponed as a mark of respect following the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2022\/09\/09\/fixtures-postponed-following-the-death-of-queen-elizabeth-ii\/\" target=\"_self\">death of the Queen.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>EFL bosses decided after meeting the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and other sports organisations on Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordmail.co.uk\/sport\/21251616.oxford-uniteds-game-shrewsbury-efl-fixtures-postponed-queen-dies\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A statement read<\/a>: &#8220;Further to discussions on Friday morning it has been determined that all EFL fixtures from 9-10 September will be postponed as a mark of respect by the national sport to the passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is aligned with the approach that the Premier League and the FA will take with their competitions this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Further information, in respect of how football, clubs and their supporters will commemorate Her Majesty\u2019s reign will be confirmed at an appropriate point.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Details regarding rearranged games will be announced in due course.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following the death of the Queen on Thursday, all clubs in England saw their matches postponed as a mark of respect.
