While the summer transfer window has just shut some eyes are already on January. Chelsea were active on deadline day but have pushed some deals off until the winter.<\/p>\n

In an update from Ben Jacobs<\/a>, he details the status of the negotiations for Edson Alvarez and Rafael Leao. The AC Milan forward is not a certainty to make the move to London as his club has been explicit that his release clause will need to be paid. Jacobs has previously reported<\/a> that this clause is worth roughly \u00a3130 million.<\/p>\n

Rafael Leao is less certain. Chelsea were told three times they must bid the release clause or no deal possible. Milan are still hopeful (and intent) on getting him to sign a new deal.<\/p>\n
