I\u2019m fully committed to contribute to the club&#8217;s sporting success\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This is a decision that the player made after considering a move to other clubs, including potentially Chelsea. A move to the Blues at this stage of the window would be difficult to pull off, with very little time left to spare.<\/p>\n<h3>Do Barcelona Need Memphis Depay?<\/h3>\n<p>Barca have a potentially difficult relationship with the Dutchman for the rest of the season. The Catalan club is stacked with incredible talents throughout, as Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, Ousmane Dembele and Ansu Fati are all also competing for positions in the club&#8217;s front line.<\/p>\n<p>Memphis Depay could potentially anticipate a position as a rotation player. It&#8217;s easy to forget he still has a lot of quality, can score plenty of goals and create all the chances Ballon D&#8217;Or nominee Lewandowski could ever want.
