Leeds United<\/a> have made a bid of \u00a317 million<\/a> for Wolverhampton Wanderers’<\/a> Hwang Hee-Chan. The forward came through the Red Bull system, and has been one of the names on the Whites’ list<\/a> of potential targets since the start of the transfer window.<\/p>\n

Why Are Leeds United Looking at a Signing?<\/h3>\n

The Elland Road hierarchy is looking at signing Hwang Hee-Chan as the club is looking relatively thin on the ground at the top of the pitch. Patrick Bamford has had a torrid time with injuries, Joe Gelhardt is only 20 years old and Rodrigo suffered a severe injury to his shoulder in a clash with Jordan Pickford against Everton. Therefore, securing more depth at the top of the pitch is increasingly important.<\/p>\n

In spite of a transfer bid, Wolves disagreed with the initial proposal. According to David Ornstein, the payment structure<\/a> was not appropriate for the Midlands side’s needs. Many clubs prefer payment up front, enabling more spending in the current window.<\/p>\n

The South Korean forward came through the Red Bull system, which is ideal for a Jesse Marsch signing. His own style is a high-pressing and aggressive one, perfectly suited to players from that stable of clubs. The Korean’s experience in the Premier League is also a bonus, as the player has no need to adapt to a brand new league.<\/p>\n
