All six group games will be played before those fixtures begin in Qatar in late November &#8211; the opening game of the UCL is less than two weeks away. With the long and drawn-out introductions in the books, as well as the various awards, attention then finally turned to the draw.<\/p>\n<p>Starting things off with the English teams and last year\u2019s Premier League winners Manchester City were the only one of these four in pot one. Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2022\/08\/05\/jurgen-klopp-hints-new-liverpool-signings\/\" target=\"_self\">Liverpool,<\/a> Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all occupied pot two. Antonio Conte is yet to get his hands on this title and Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt join Spurs in Group D. On the other hand, Pep Guardiola is still being evaded by this trophy in Manchester and so will need to get past Europa League specialists Sevilla and last season\u2019s foes Borussia Dortmund in order to advance.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first time in 15 years that both Rangers and Celtic are in the hat for this UEFA Champions League draw. The latter are back in the competition and will have to deal with a historic Real Madrid outfit. They are tasked with facing Domenico Tedesco\u2019s RB Leipzig who have looked imperious since the new man came in and took over from current Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch. The highest-seeded team here is a familiar face from last season\u2019s campaign in the form of Bayern Munich.
