On the latest CaughtOffside Daily Briefing<\/a>, Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the status of Memphis Depay and Barcelona.<\/p>\n

According to Romano, the Dutch attacker “has agreed a contract termination with Barcelona since Saturday”. Interestingly, the termination only comes into effect once the player agrees to join a new club.<\/p>\n

The former Manchester United<\/a> man made the move to the Catalan giants just last summer from Lyon. He had an impressive season in Spain, notching 13 goals in 38 appearances, 12 of which came in the domestic league. Despite having a good year with the club, the 28-year-old is not a part of Xavi’s plans<\/a> and is being moved on this summer.<\/p>\n
