Manchester United<\/a> and Chelsea<\/a> are expecting to be a significant part of a \u00a3500 million transfer binge as Premier League clubs look to bring the window to an exciting close. According to a report by Matt Law<\/a>, a number of clubs are looking to spend big in the final weeks of the summer window.<\/p>\n

Premier League Clubs Looking to Spend \u00a3500 Million Within the Fortnight<\/h2>\n

Which Clubs Plan on Spending Part of the \u00a3500 Million?<\/h3>\n

The most visible clubs that are desperate to spend some of their transfer budgets are Chelsea and Manchester United. Both sides are heavily linked with players including Casemiro<\/a> and Wesley Fofana<\/a>, with the two clubs fighting over Barcelona star Frenkie de Jon<\/a>g. Both the Blues and the Red Devils could find themselves spending comfortably in excess of \u00a3100 million.<\/p>\n

There are several other clubs scattered throughout the division looking to finish their business. Wolverhampton Wanderers recently welcomed Matheus Nunes<\/a> to the club, Nottingham Forest are ever-present spenders in this window and, according to Matt Law<\/a>, Everton are desperately hunting for a striker to add depth. Leeds United, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa<\/a> could all also make moves, with Leicester City<\/a> the only side to not make a single purchase<\/a> this window.<\/p>\n

Manchester United’s Remaining Business<\/h3>\n

The Old Trafford hierarchy has several plans in action. Casemiro is one of the players of interest, with the Real Madrid midfielder seen as a potential solution to Erik ten Hag’s worries in the centre of the pitch.<\/p>\n

Manchester United could also make a signing for a new right-back such as Thomas Meunier, with another centre-forward a final potential area for investment in the event that Cristiano Ronaldo leaves. The Red Devils are also considering another goalkeeper, with Leeds United’s Illan Meslier<\/a> firmly off-limits.<\/p>\n
