Everton<\/a> have offered striker Nathan Broadhead a new contract according to The Athletic<\/a>. The 24-year-old had a successful loan season at Sunderland<\/a> helping them to promotion. The Black Cats have been pursuing the forward all summer; however, they have had to wait until the Toffees decided on his future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the report, a host of Championship clubs are interested in the Welshman and it appears that should Broadhead accept the contract offered then he will be back out on loan in the near future.<\/p>\n

Everton Offer New Contract to Striker Nathan Broadhead<\/h2>\n

The report from The Athletic<\/a> reads:\u00a0Broadhead, a star performer as\u00a0Sunderland<\/a>\u00a0won promotion from\u00a0League One<\/a>\u00a0last season, is attracting interest from a host of Championship clubs, including a possible return to the Stadium of Light. Everton have offered the 24-year-old a new deal and have so far refused to countenance offers to part with him permanently. Movement is expected on a loan destination soon.<\/p>\n

Successful Loan Spell<\/h3>\n

Nathan Broadhead enjoyed a successful season at Sunderland<\/a> last campaign. Despite injuries, the striker, who can also play as a winger scored 13 goals in 27 appearances. 10 of these goals were in 15 starts for the club.<\/p>\n

The Wales U21 international enjoyed a season that not only brought goals and impressive performances for himself personally but also brought promotion to Sunderland following four years in League One. Wherever he ends up playing, fans will remember him for helping the club finally get back to the Championship.<\/p>\n
