We look forward to working with him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The U&#8217;s had been in for the 26-year-old before. In 2019, Robinson and the club pulled out of a move after the Scottish outfit wanted more than Oxford were willing to pay. However, former Liverpool academy coach and Oxford boss Robinson is willing to offer the midfielder more first-team football in the upcoming campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the claims from Nixon, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/richsharpe89\/status\/1550441047825727488?t=iPEA1vlZYVQvZNAcWd6wBg&amp;amp;s=19\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rich Sharpe of the Lancashire Telegraph<\/a> adds that a move may be delayed due to a number of injuries in the Liverpool squad.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Championship Interest In U&#8217;s Midfielder<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk\/sport\/20296277.blackburn-rovers-transfer-latest-club-step-search\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">In another report, Sharpe, <\/a>claims Blackburn and Queens Park Rangers have shown interest in Oxford midfielder, Cameron Brannagan.<\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old has been a standout performer since his arrival in January 2018 and is closing in on 200 club appearances.<\/p>\n<p>However, the midfielder is out of contract next summer and the U&#8217;s may have to decide whether to cash in now or risk losing him for nothing when his current deal expires.<\/p>\n<h3>Josh Murphy Features for Oxford United in Pre-Season Match Against AFC Wimbledon<\/h3>\n<p>Oxford United saw former Premier League winger Josh Murphy take to the pitch in their pre-season friendly match against AFC Wimbledon.<\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old was released from Cardiff in the summer, despite the Bluebirds paying \u00a311 million for him in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Murphy turned out 99 times in Wales which followed five seasons at Norwich City, where he began his career.<\/p>\n<p>The winger also worked under Robinson when he spent time on loan at MK Dons.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordmail.co.uk\/sport\/20368622.josh-murphy-oxford-united-squad-afc-wimbledon-friendly\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Speaking on the player, he said<\/a>: \u201cHe\u2019s one of the best wingers I\u2019ve worked with.
