Elliott Investment Management, the current owners of the\u00a0<em>Rossoneri<\/em>, intended to complete and formalize the sale of the club by September. With that being said, Elliott also intended to keep a minority share as Milan rose from the ashes under their leadership and are now the reigning <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2022\/05\/29\/ac-milan-season-review-champions\/\" target=\"_self\">Serie A champions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\ud83d\udcc5 On this day one month ago\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udfc6 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ACMilan?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#ACMilan<\/a> became the Champions of Italy for a 19th time after a 3-0 win over Sassuolo \u2764\ufe0f\ud83d\udda4 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/cULc5QtXYx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/cULc5QtXYx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 MilanData\ud83d\udcca (@acmilandata) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/acmilandata\/status\/1539509817206878208?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">June 22, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Blue Skye, however, is claiming that Elliott engaged in negotiations &#8220;behind closed doors.&#8221; This breaches an agreement in Blue Skye&#8217;s minority rights. Blue Skye also says that they can prove that Elliott operated with &#8220;malice or deceit&#8221; as they claim Elliott released confidential information and failed to hold a proper bidding process.<\/p>\n<p>The minority investor, who owns 4.3% of the Luxembourg-based holding company that also owns Milan, claim that Gordon Singer, the son of the founder of Elliott, told them that they would be &#8220;privy&#8221; to any sale.<\/p>\n<p>It would be ideal for Milan that this issue resolves itself in a quick and quiet manner. The club has already missed out on three transfer targets such as <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2022\/06\/28\/ac-milan-are-missing-out-midfielder\/\" target=\"_self\">Renato Sanches<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2022\/06\/23\/ac-milan-are-missing-out-on-midfielder\/\" target=\"_self\">Enzo Fernandez<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2022\/06\/24\/newcastle-agree-deal-sven-botman\/\" target=\"_self\">Sven Botman<\/a>. Perhaps that&#8217;s not a direct result of the ongoing takeover concerns, but Milan are falling behind in the transfer market.
