The 33-year-old striker prefers to join Barcelona as he is craving a new challenge towards the end of his career.

Bayern, however, are not ready to sell their goal machine, who scored 50 goals for them last season and helped them win another Bundesliga title.

Barcelona Could Be Forced to Look for Alternatives

Lewandowski is really intent on joining Barcelona and is trying his best to push through a move to the La Liga giants in the summer. The Blaugrana could now be forced to look into other options if Lewandowski can’t convince Bayern to let him leave.

Read More: Multiple Clubs in the Running for Leeds United Star

Barca currently only have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as their only natural number nine option. The experienced striker had a stellar second half of a campaign with them since joining in January, scoring 13 goals in 23 appearances for them.

Xavi Hernandez does not want to rely only on the Gabonese forward to lead his line throughout a grueling campaign. Barcelona have earmarked Gabriel Jesus as an alternative to Lewandowski, but the Brazilian striker looks to be close to a move to Arsenal.
