Manchester United<\/a> midfielder Paul Pogba will sign his contract with Juventus<\/a> this July, according to Fabrizio Romano<\/a>. The Frenchman, who makes<\/a> around \u00a3300k per week at Old Trafford, will be departing on a free transfer when his deal expires this summer, and he is now set for a sensational return to Italy.<\/p>\n

Pogba has struggled during his time at United.<\/p>\n

The midfielder signed for a then-world record fee of \u00a389 million, and as such there were great expectations placed on his shoulders. Many thought he could be the man upon whom Jose Mourinho could build his legacy at the Theatre of Dreams, but that was not to be the case.<\/p>\n

Pogba had a public and infamously influential falling out<\/a> with the Portuguese manager in 2018, and their relationship never recovered. Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, while Pogba showed his undoubted talent on occasions, he was never able to establish himself as an undroppable presence in the team, either due to injury or just poor form.<\/p>\n

Scott McTominay and Fred have both proven much more reliable in the middle of the park over recent seasons, with neither particularly injury-prone and both able to perform consistently, even if they don’t possess the same quality that Pogba has.<\/p>\n

What was set up to be a fairytale return to Old Trafford for Pogba has ended underwhelmingly, but he has a second chance to go back to a former club and make an impact, as Juventus have finally managed to convince him to join them after some time.<\/p>\n
