Manchester United’s Frenkie de Jong Pursuit has “some way to run”, according to the Athletic.<\/a> The two sides are struggling to meet a valuation that works for both parties<\/a>. Manchester United made an opening bid of \u20ac60m plus \u20ac10m add-ons<\/a>, which was rejected by Barcelona.<\/p>\n

Manchester United have started looking at other options, including offering a deal for free agent Christian Eriksen.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

It has been reported that the Dutchman is now open to a move to Manchester and a reacquaintance with former Ajax boss, Erik ten Hag. This was originally seen as the largest obstacle in the transfer saga, however an agreement on price now remains the main focus.<\/p>\n

In an interview after Netherlands’ Nations League match this week, the midfielder said he can’t say anything about his prospective summer move<\/a>, leaving both Barcelona and Manchester United fans in the dark about his whereabouts next season.<\/p>\n

But, as per another update by Fabrizio Romano, the deal is still stuck since Barcelona will not accept less than 85 million euros for the player. De Jong is remaining silent and is not revealing anything about his future.<\/p>\n
