According to David Ornstein of The Athletic<\/a>, Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Monaco to sign French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. The deal is reportedly worth over \u20ac100 million. The clubs are now in the process of finalising paperwork and regulatory procedures in order to finish the transfer of the 22-year-old. Madrid have beaten clubs like Paris Saint-Germain<\/a>, Liverpool<\/a>, and Manchester United<\/a> to the signing of the star French midfielder.<\/p>\n

Monaco Success<\/h3>\n

Monaco signed Tchouameni from Bordeaux in 2020 and he quickly set about making himself a regular in the French sie’s starting team. His performances with Monaco led to him receiving a call-up to the French national team as well as winning the Ligue 1 Young Player of The Year award for the 2020\/21 season. Tchouameni has also had back-to-back spots in the Ligue 1 team of the year.<\/p>\n

In his time with the former French champions, Tchouameni played 95 games and scored 8 goals, helping the team earn a third-place finish in his last campaign.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid may have missed out on the signing of Kylian Mbappe<\/a> but they are still showing ambition to pick up some of the best young players in Europe. Despite all of their recent success, Real Madrid are well aware of their ageing core and have set about restocking with young players. Missing out on Mbappe is a big loss for the team but picking up a young midfield dynamo like Aurelien Tchouameni will settle some fears.<\/p>\n
