Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> are reportedly looking at signing Inter Milan attacking midfielder Ivan Perisic<\/a> on a free transfer once his contract expires in the summer, according to ESPN\u2019s James Olley<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Serie A club are hopeful of keeping the Croatia international with Serie A rivals Juventus<\/a> also reportedly interested in the winger if he leaves Milan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Could Perisic Leave Milan?<\/b><\/h3>\n

The 33-year-old has made over 200 appearances for the Serie A club, however, his time in Milan could be coming to an end once his current contract expires. The winger has started in all of his 34 appearances for the club this season and has contributed with seven goals and six assists<\/a> in those appearances.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is reported that Inter are trying to keep the player at the club beyond his current contract, however, with time running out, there is a strong possibility that Perisic will leave the club in the summer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Perisic is reportedly looking for a three-year deal that will see him paid around \u00a3100,000-a-week to remain in Milan, however, at 33-years-old that may be a longer deal than the club are willing to offer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Antonio Conte Reunion<\/b><\/p>\n

If Perisic does leaves Inter, he could be looking to reunite with former manager Antonio Conte in North London. The pair won the Serie A title together during the 2020\/21 season while Conte was managing at Inter before agreeing to leave the club<\/a> this past summer after a reported disagreement with club owners.<\/span><\/p>\n

During his time playing under Conte, Perisic was often asked to play as a wing-back on the left side of a back five in the Italian manager\u2019s system. With Spurs deploying a similar system under the Italian it would be reasonable to expect that he will be deployed in the same way at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With Champions League football on the horizon for Spurs, this summer could be a key transfer window for the North-London club as they look to strengthen the squad. They will book their ticket to next season\u2019s Champions League with a final day win over Norwich City<\/a> on May 22nd, 2022. <\/span><\/p>\n
