Based on a new report from The Athletic<\/a>, Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram may be one such option who fits all the boxes, and demand for the player is sure to skyrocket this summer.<\/p>\n

Borussia Monchengladbach Willing to Sell<\/h3>\n

A number of the top strikers on the market like Erling Haaland<\/a> and Kylian Mbappe<\/a> are commanding massive price tags that only the top clubs can afford. Other top strikers like Harry Kane<\/a> are needed by their clubs and unlikely to move. With names like that out of the way, Borussia Monchengladbach’s willingness to sell Thuram is sure to make him a major target this summer. According to The Athletic’s report, the Bundesliga side are open to accepting offers in the region of \u00a310-15 Million for the striker to avoid losing him on a free transfer at the end of next season. Despite Thuram’s lack of goals this season, he only has three in 22 games, the low price tag and his previous goalscoring exploits might make him a gamble worth taking.<\/p>\n

Potential Suitors<\/h3>\n

The Athletic’s report also states that Chelsea have long admired the French player while Arsenal have considered purchasing him in the past. Arsenal may need to make a play for the 24-year-old French forward most having lost Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang<\/a>, who has hit the ground running at Barcelona. Their first-choice striker Alexandre Lacazette has been in misfiring form too whilst Eddie Nketiah’s contract is expiring. As mentioned earlier, strikers are always in demand during summer windows so it’s possible that any number of major teams could take a chance on Thuram and give him the opportunity to replicate his previous goalscoring exploits.<\/p>\n
