Bayern Munich are chasing Ajax<\/a> star Ryan Gravenberch. The club’s director, Hasan Salihamidzic was just in Amsterdam keeping tabs on the Ajax player, according to Fabrizio Romano<\/a>. Bayern clearly want the player, but they do not plan on spending over \u20ac25 million for the midfielder. As of now, however, Ajax has yet to receive an offer from Bayern.<\/p>\n

Bayern Munich Interested in Ajax Star Ryan Gravenberch<\/h2>\n

For starters, Gravenberch is just 19-years-old. Bayern has a rich history of picking up talented youth and developing said players into stars. Gravenberch is already showing massive potential in the Netherlands which has Bayern on high alert.<\/p>\n

Gravenberch is primarily a central midfielder, but can also play in a more defensive position. He’s also been playing top-flight football for quite some time now. He made an Eredivisie and Europa League<\/a> appearance in the 2019\/20 season. It wasn’t until 2020\/21 that Gravenberch really showed his talent, however. In that season he scored three goals and provided five assists in 32 Eredivisie matches. He also scored one goal in six Champions League matches.<\/p>\n

This season Gravenberch has two goals and five assists in 25 Eredivisie matches. He also notched an assist in eight Champions League<\/a> matches.<\/p>\n

Bayern has a strong talent pool in the midfield, headlined by Germans like Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka. Other central midfielders include Corentin Tolisso and Marc Roca, who rarely finds time on the pitch. Attacking midfield options include the likes of Marcel Sabitzer and Jamal Musiala, but Gravenberch plays a different position. If Bayern chose to move forward with three strong central midfield options in their starting eleven, then Gravenberch can fill in with Kimmich and Goretzka. He can contribute now, but will also only improve playing with star-studded talent.<\/p>\n

It’s no surprise to see Bayern generating interest in players early as there’s the possibility of the club losing one of their biggest stars<\/a> in Robert Lewandowski.<\/p>\n
