Rudiger\u2019s<\/a> contract at Chelsea comes to an end after this season. It looks increasingly likely that the German international will leave Stamford Bridge in the upcoming transfer window.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to their January spending, the Magpies are set for a summer full of transfers under the club’s new Saudi Arabian ownership.<\/span><\/p>\n

Defensive Crisis for Chelsea With Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta All Set to Leave<\/h3>\n

Despite the rumours, Rudiger is focused on his remaining time at Chelsea.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking after the Blues’ victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup semi-final,<\/a> he said: \u201cI\u2019m enjoying it. You have to see it in chapters. I enjoy this chapter. So far yeah it\u2019s the best part of my career. As you said there are a lot of games and the schedule is getting busier and busier.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

However, more defensive issues remain for Thomas Tuchel\u2019s side as Andreas Christensen<\/a> and Cesar Azpilicueta have both been heavily linked to Barcelona.<\/span><\/p>\n

If all three leave, it would mean Thiago Silva would be the only senior centre back at the club. <\/span><\/p>\n

Tomori Regret?<\/h3>\n

Tuchel may be kicking himself this summer that he let young defender Fikayo Tomori leave Chelsea for AC Milan last January.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Tomori broke into the Chelsea side under Frank Lampard. He was loaned out to AC Milan last January, who then exercised their \u00a325 million option to buy the defender.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 24-year-old has excelled in Italy. Tomori could end the season with a Serie A winners medal as AC Milan currently sit top of the table.<\/span><\/p>\n

In October, Tomori was asked about his difficulties at Chelsea, he said<\/a>: “Since I have been at Milan, I haven’t really thought about it.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It was a difficult time – every footballer wants to play, and every footballer wants to show themselves on the pitch.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I had a really good support system with my family and my friends – and now I’ve overcome that I want to take it further and keep progressing<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Fabrizio Romano<\/a>, Chelsea did not opt to add a buy-back clause into Tomori\u2019s contract.<\/span><\/p>\n
