It has emerged that Newcastle<\/a> target Jesse Lingard<\/a> is growing increasingly angry about how Manchester United<\/a> are treating him, with the Englishman desperately wanting his club to greenlight a loan move to Tyneside as he looks to explore his options with his contract expiring in the summer.<\/p>\n

Lingard Wants a Loan<\/h3>\n

The United academy graduate is said to be increasingly exasperated as his boyhood club continue to reject Newcastle’s loan approaches, according to James Ducker of the Telegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lingard has struggled for game time so far this season under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick. The attacking midfielder has not started a single Premier League game this season and only has one minute of football in the English top-flight since Rangnick took charge in early December.<\/p>\n

With just two starts this campaign\u2014one in a Champions League game after United had already won their group and the other in a Carabou Cup third-round match\u2014it can safely be assumed that Lingard is not all too happy with the amount of time he is spending on the pitch. The 29-year-old was fantastic for West Ham United<\/a> during a loan move in the second half of last season but hasn’t had the opportunity to assert himself in the Red Devils’ starting 11 despite some impactful cameos.<\/p>\n

A temporary move to St James’ Park would work very well for all parties involved. With Newcastle now having a large pot of money from which to draw, they would be able\u2014and have offered\u2014to cover all of Lingard’s wages and pay a substantial loan fee. The latest proposed total fee for the loan was reported<\/a> to be \u00a310 million, although others have claimed that figure to be more in the region of about \u00a36 million. Either way, United would be given a financial incentive to see the deal through, and with the Englishman not playing any major part in the first-team squad at this time, it seems an obvious decision to let Lingard go.<\/p>\n
