Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> are reportedly looking to offload midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in the current transfer window, with the 25-year-old having failed to win over previous managers Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo, as well as current boss Antonio Conte.<\/p>\n According to Fabrizio Romano<\/a>, Tottenham are trying to find a new club for Ndombele as soon as they can, meaning they are willing to sanction a loan exit or a permanent transfer for the player. Additionally, Conte’s side would be open to making Ndombele part of any swap deal to bring in a new player this month.<\/p>\n Ndombele arrived at Tottenham amid much fanfare after a club-record transfer from Lyon in July 2019, but his time at the Premier League side quickly turned sour and now looks to be nearing its end.<\/p>\n Previous Spurs boss Jose Mourinho endured a fractitious relationship with the player, praising his talents but also criticising Ndombele in public<\/a> following a 1-1 draw with Burnley in March 2020.<\/p>\n At the time, Mourinho was reluctant to hand any further opportunities to Ndombele, but the midfielder was seemingly handed a lifeline when Spurs sacked the 58-year-old in April.<\/p>\n Nuno Espirito Santo was brought in to be the club’s next permanent manager, but the former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss was replaced by Antonio Conte after an ill-fated spell in charge earlier this season.<\/p>\n It now appears that Conte has required little time to become convinced that Ndombele’s future lies away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The only question is whether the player will leave this month or at the end of the season.<\/p>\n Signs of this Tottenham side’s existing frailties were evident in this weekend’s FA Cup tie with League One visitors Morecambe, despite Conte’s men advancing in the competition<\/a> with a 3-1 victory.<\/p>\n The third-division team took the lead in the first half, and managed to hold onto their advantage until Harry Winks scored with a free-kick in the 74th minute of the game.<\/p>\n Substitutes Lucas Moura and Harry Kane were needed to secure victory for the hosts, who had struggled badly until the latter stages.
