Much talk in the news is about who is going to be the next Newcastle United<\/a> manager.<\/p>\n

The Magpies haven’t even removed Steve Bruce<\/a> from his position as yet but it’s thought to be when not if.<\/p>\n

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers<\/a> was linked with the post in recent days and could have been a perfect starting point for the club under new ownership.<\/p>\n

Brendan Rodgers Could Be Perfect Newcastle United Manager for New Ownership<\/h2>\n

What the Reports Are Saying<\/h3>\n

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported<\/a> that Brendan Rodgers – who has a \u20ac16m release clause – is in pole position for the Newcastle United managers job.<\/p>\n

However, following these reports, The Telegraph’s Midlands-based reporter John Percy ruled any switch from Leicester City to Newcastle United for Brendan Rodgers out. Percy reports that Rodgers has no interest<\/a> in the job and remains fully committed to the FA Cup champions.<\/p>\n

Brendan Rodgers’ Excellent CV<\/h3>\n

When it comes down to it, the general consensus is that Brendan Rodgers hasn’t secured good enough silverware to be seriously considered by the so-called ‘big six’ clubs in English football. Though, many contest that argument, and he himself probably could make a good case. With Leicester, he has outperformed Arsenal<\/a> and Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> for a few years now, competed with Manchester United<\/a> up until the tail end of last season. That’s at least three of those sides he has almost contributed to the embarrassment of at times, considering the riches they should have available.<\/p>\n

Leicester City are by no means a small club with a small budget, far from it, but they weren’t in the best state when he replaced Claude Puel in 2019. Maybe you could say they were underperforming at the time but that also speaks favourably for Rodgers.<\/p>\n

He came in, got them ticking and has been part of some incredible recruitment since, something Newcastle United will be looking for in the new world that they sit in of almost being able to buy whoever, whenever – at least financially – anyway.<\/p>\n

It’s something that is difficult to get right – look at Manchester United – it’s taken the Red Devils a long, long time post-Sir Alex Ferguson to get to a place where people rate their recruitment. Money doesn’t always work.<\/p>\n

Rodgers has, at Leicester, shown how you can spend money wisely. Making lesser budgets than those giant clubs work.<\/p>\n

His work at Liverpool<\/a> is often credited by some too as having prepared them nicely for what has been an incredibly successful Jurgen Klopp<\/a> era.<\/p>\n

He has tasted success himself, winning the FA Cup with Leicester and multiple titles with Celtic<\/a>. Newcastle can’t be over-concerning themselves with the thought of silverware right now though.<\/p>\n

Ralf Rangnick Interested in Newcastle United Manager Job<\/h3>\n

It looks like glove-fitting Brendan Rodgers doesn’t want the job so maybe German coach Ralf Rangnick will be considered. Bild’s Christian Falk<\/a> claims Rangnick, who has been <\/span>heavily involved in the Red Bull empire<\/a>, most notably with <\/span>RB Leipzig<\/a>, is interested in the manager’s job.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 63-year-old is currently head of sports and development at Lokomotiv Moscow but it’s no surprise to see such a project at Newcastle United interest him.<\/p>\n

Rangnick has a wealth of experience and has long been linked with roles at Manchester United – though nothing ever came to fruition.<\/p>\n

Should Steve Bruce leave, whatever Newcastle go for will be major news but more importantly, a huge decision for them as, ideally, the manager choice, is the first thing they get right.<\/p>\n

Niklas Sule Linked With the Magpies<\/h3>\n

Bayern Munich<\/a> defender Niklas Sule has also been linked with Newcastle United by Christian Falk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old has a wealth of medals including four Bundesliga’s<\/a>, a Champions League<\/a> and the Confederations Cup.<\/p>\n

This news follows links to Philippe Coutinho<\/a>, a player Brendan Rodgers could be reunited with, should he be convinced to turn up at St James’ Park.<\/p>\n
