Alexandre Lacazette has no intention of signing a new contract at Arsenal<\/a>, according to football.london<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The French striker\u2019s current deal with the Gunners expires at the end of the season, meaning he could leave the club on a free transfer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alexandre Lacazette Rules Out Signing New Arsenal Contract\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Possible January Transfer Now on the Table\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

The report claims Lacazette does not intend to pen a new deal at Arsenal and is willing to see out the remainder of his contract in north London.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, it adds that the news could push the Gunners to place him up for sale in January, in order to avoid missing out on receiving a transfer fee.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Arsenal were hoping to raise a fee close to \u00a315 million for the 30-year-old<\/a> over the summer, but they subsequently struggled to secure a move away for him.<\/p>\n

As such, the club may have to stomach accepting a fee lower than their desired value in January, to avoid losing Lacazette for nothing in the summer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Which Clubs Could Make a Swoop for Lacazette?<\/h3>\n

A host of clubs in the Premier League and around Europe<\/a> have reportedly been keeping tabs on Lacazette\u2019s situation, and could now intensify their interest following his intention to not extend his contract.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Spanish sides Atletico Madrid and Sevilla have both held an interest in the Frenchman, while Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan have also been keen on a potential acquisition. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But, there could be interest closer to home in England<\/a>, though, with Newcastle United<\/a> said to have added Lacazette onto their shortlist of targets following their \u00a3300 million Saudi-led takeover deal<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon in 2017<\/a> for a reported fee of \u00a346.5 million, which makes him one of the club\u2019s record signings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 174 appearances for the club, he has managed to record 67 goals and 29 assists, with 50 of those coming in the top tier of English football.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
