The search for a new Watford<\/a> manager has commenced once again. The last two years have seen the Hornets hire four managers on a permanent basis, and yet not one of them has managed to reach even ten months in the job. In what seems bi-annual event, the Hertfordshire side are once again on the hunt for a new boss having parted company with Xisco Mu\u00f1oz, and this time they may be able to attract a former Premier League<\/a> winner.<\/p>\n

New Watford Manager Search Underway<\/h2>\n

Strange Decision Makes More Sense Than One Would Initially Think<\/h3>\n

If this were any other club, sacking the manager who achieved promotion back to the top flight of English football and is now sitting in a comfortable 14th would be a shock. But with Watford, it was almost predictable.<\/p>\n

However, there could be more of a method to this apparent madness than immediately meets the eye.<\/p>\n

While the results achieved so far are consistent with what would be expected from a low-mid table side, fans have been unhappy with the style of play under Mu\u00f1oz, with many of their performances so far this season having been difficult to watch.<\/p>\n

It seems many Watford fans are ready to potentially sacrifice results for a more entertaining brand of football. That said, it is possible for a side with a poor squad by Premier League standards to win points while playing good football, and one managerial candidate whom the Hornets are considering may well be able to provide that.<\/p>\n

Watford Considering Impressive Move<\/h3>\n

The Yellow Army have reportedly already contacted Claudio Ranieri about becoming their next manager.<\/p>\n

The Italian is famous for his masterstroke with Leicester City<\/a>, taking them from a team on the brink of relegation to Premier League champions in just one season.<\/p>\n

While Watford won’t expect this much from the 69-year-old should he move to Vicarage Road, they would hope for survival in the top-flight of English football, doing so by playing good football.<\/p>\n
