The U’s are unbeaten in their four home matches this season, which includes three wins, and will be looking to continue that run when Steve Evans brings his team to Grenoble Road.

The U’s also have a good recent record against the Gills, particularly at home. Oxford have won the last five meetings on their own turf and are unbeaten in seven.

Following a run of three games without a win, Oxford have dropped to 15th spot with 11 points from eight games. However, Gillingham have just one win from their opening eight matches and suffered a 4-1 loss against MK Dons last time out.

Accrington to Test Oxford United Home Form

While the U’s may have a good record against Gillingham, their recent results against Accrington Stanley is somewhat patchy. John Coleman’s side arrive on Tuesday night with four wins from their last six visits to Oxford, although the U’s did pick up six points from the other two meetings.

However, unlike Gillingham so far this season, Stanley are once again a side that appears to be pushing above their weight. They may have dropped to 11th following back to back losses against Sunderland and Wigan Athletic respectively, but they have still recorded four league wins – bettered only by the table-topping duo who recently beat them.

It was a similar story last season when Accrington were the visitors. The season had begun to slip away slightly but for Oxford, a win would give them a serious boost for the playoffs. Despite losing 2-1, the U’s did creep into the top six, but it could have easily got away.

Main Photo

Embed from Getty Images

Having failed to win on the road this season, Oxford United will be looking to take advantage of their solid home form with back to back games.
