It is set to be one of the best weekends of action in the Premier League so far this season, which even features a London derby.

You can check out part one of this week’s predictions here.

Premier League Predictions: Matchday Five

Brighton & Hove Albion Host Leicester City

Fresh from a disappointing 2-2 draw against Napoli in the Europa League, in which they were 2-0 up in until the 69th minute, Leicester City head to Brighton & Hove Albion seeking all three points. The hosts, however, will provide a difficult test, having remained resolute before scoring late on to beat Brentford last time out.

Expect an even affair, with Leicester’s defensive problems becoming more and more clear as the games go by. Their goalscoring prowess will provide a boost, but, ultimately, the Foxes will be held to a draw, thanks to their defensive woes.

Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 Leicester City

Manchester United Travel to West Ham

After losing to Young Boys in the Champions League, Manchester United must make a statement against the inform West Ham. If they fail to do so, many will be left questioning their title credentials. And, if it’s anything like last season – when United were forced to come from behind to win at the London Stadium – then they’ll be in for a tough test.

There could be a shock on the cards here; West Ham are no pushovers these days; the total opposite, in fact, and pose a bigger threat than any other side that United have already faced this season. Goals will certainly be on the agenda, and perhaps even a shock victory.

West Ham United 2-2 Manchester United

Tottenham Host Chelsea in London Derby

The games between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are always filled with drama, and expect Sunday’s battle to be no different. The Blues head into the game as the heavy favourites, and, such is Thomas Tuchel’s tactical approach, expect them to fulfil the expectancies, with Romelu Lukaku playing a big part once more.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur’s confident start has turned sour in recent weeks, with Nuno Espírito Santo suffering a 3-0 defeat against Crystal Palace, before a 2-2 draw against Rennes in mid-week. The recent misery will likely only continue against Chelsea.

Tottenham Hotspur 0-2 Chelsea

Main Photo
Embed from Getty Images

Welcome to part two of our Premier League predictions for matchday five, where Brighton & Hove Albion host Leicester City, West Ham United host Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur host Chelsea.
