Arsenal<\/a> winger Reiss Nelson has completed his move to Dutch side Feyenoord, joining on a one year loan, according to Fabrizio Romano<\/a>. The deal comes as little surprise considering Nelson\u2019s place in the Arsenal squad or, more, the lack of it. The opportunity at Feyenoord is one he must take having come to somewhat of a standstill when it comes to progress in his career.<\/p>\n

After seeing a deal for Manchester United\u2019s Amad Diallo due to an untimely injury<\/a>, the Eredivisie side will be delighted to secure Reiss Nelson.<\/p>\n

Must Take Advantage of Opportunity<\/h3>\n

In truth, Nelson\u2019s loan move has been a long time coming. It quickly became obvious that he wasn\u2019t in Mikel Arteta\u2019s plans, and should have been moved on earlier in the window. The loan move, alongside a new contract, suggests that the Gunners still hold a glimmer of hope for the winger, however, who is a product of the academy.<\/p>\n

If Nelson impresses Feyenoord enough during his loan spell, then there could be potential for a permanent move. Or, with any luck, Arteta will be keeping an eye on things.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve seen Arsenal\u2019s willingness to move academy products on in the past, however, with Joe Willock providing a prime example of that. The midfielder starred when on loan at Newcastle United, arguably playing better than any Arsenal player at the time, yet, upon his Emirates return, he did not receive an opportunity, joining Newcastle on a permanent deal.<\/p>\n

With players heading for the exit door, Arsenal may just have room for potential incomings before the window slams shut in just over 24 hours. Considering the start they\u2019ve made to the Premier League season, sitting bottom after three games, saying they need reinforcements would be an understatement. The fact is, the Gunners have never looked so unorganised or hopeless.<\/p>\n
