Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo was set to join Dutch side Feyenoord on a season-long loan. However, this deal has now been cancelled after the forward picked up an injury in his final training session before the move was set to be confirmed.<\/p>\n
Diallo’s medical and travel to Feyenoord were reportedly booked<\/a> but he will now stay at United and rehabilitate there.<\/p>\n This was set to be Diallo’s first loan spell away from Manchester United after joining them from Atalanta last summer.<\/p>\n Speaking to Voetbal International, Feyenoord’s technical director Frank Arnesen said<\/a>: “We did everything we could, it was done, but now he’s injured so much that he can’t come.\u00a0Sometimes it’s nice, such a transfer window, and sometimes it isn’t.”<\/p>\n The injury to Diallo leaves Feyenoord with little time to complete a new deal. They wanted Diallo to add more depth to their attacking options, but with the transfer window set to shut on Tuesday night, time is running out.<\/p>\n In a brief statement on their website, Manchester United said<\/a>: “Manchester United can confirm that Amad has sustained a thigh muscle injury in training and is likely to be out for six weeks.<\/p>\n “Amad will remain at United and rehabilitate back to full fitness.”<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Despite only being 19-years-old, Diallo has already made some impact at United. He scored a brace on his U23 debut, a 6-3 win against Liverpool. His performances for the youth sides resulted in his first call-up to the senior side, where he was an unused substitute in an FA Cup win against West Ham United<\/a>.<\/p>\n His debut for the senior side came as a substitute for Mason Greenwood in a Europa League tie away at Real Sociedad, and he also scored his first goal for the senior side in the next round of that competition, in a 1-1 draw against AC Milan<\/a>.<\/p>\n Diallo then made his FA Cup debut in the quarter-final loss to Leicester City<\/a>, and his Premier League debut came shortly after against the same team, where they lost 2-1.
