Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> have officially completed the signing of Hwang Hee-chan from RB Leipzig<\/a> on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy. The deal comes as no surprise, with Wolves\u2019 need for another source of goals no secret. In three Premier League games under new boss Bruno Lage, they\u2019ve failed to score once despite creating plenty of chances.<\/p>\n

In the 1-0 loss against Manchester United<\/a>, in particular, their lack of ruthlessness cost them dearly. Having been the better side, creating and wasting several chances in the process, Wolves conceded with then minutes to go, with Mason Greenwood\u2019s cross escaping the arms of Jose Sa to find the back of the net.<\/p>\n

Bruno Lage will be hoping to hand Hee-chan some minutes after the international break, as the South Korean settles into his new side.<\/p>\n

Following the signing,\u00a0Wolves technical director Scott Sellars told the club website<\/a>: \u201cHwang\u2019s a player we\u2019ve watched for a few years now, when he was at Salzburg. He\u2019s got a lot of talent and is very versatile \u2013 he can play across all the front positions, a striker, second striker or wide. He had a fantastic goal scoring record at Salzburg and will give us a good option in the front areas.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s got a good pedigree, having played Champions League football and at a World Cup. He\u2019s got a lot of pace, power and strength \u2013 he\u2019s probably a little bit different to what we\u2019ve got, and we think he\u2019s a strong acquisition for the squad.<\/p>\n

\u201cUltimately, we felt it was an area where competition is important, so when somebody becomes available on loan, with his quality and experience, and he has a desire to come, it\u2019s becomes an exciting opportunity \u2013 we\u2019re certain he\u2019s going to add quality to the group.\u201d<\/p>\n
