The Serbian international has been closely linked with a move to the Premier League this summer but the move now looks unlikely to happen with the 23-year-old looking likely to extend his stay in Serie A.<\/span><\/p>\n

Milenkovic Likely to Partner Nastasic in a New Look Fiorentina Defence<\/span><\/h3>\n

Fiorentina are in the final stages of negotiating a new contract with 23-year-old Serbian defender Nikola Milenkovic. With just one more year remaining on his contract, Milenkovic’s future at Artemio Franchi was in doubt this summer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Milenkovic has been with Fiorentina since 2017. The Serbian joined La Viola<\/em> as a 19-year-old after an impressive spell with Partizan. The defender has been a key player for the club over the last couple of seasons, where he has made 127 appearances and scored eleven goals.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Serbian will likely have a new defensive partner this season. His long-time partner German Pezzella is reportedly closing in on a move to Real Betis. According to\u00a0<\/span>Gianluca Di Marzio<\/span><\/a>, the Argentinian defender is re-signing with Real Betis, three years after leaving the club. Matija Nastasic is likely to replace Pezzella with Fiorentina closing in on re-signing the Serbian. The Serbian’s future has been in doubt<\/a> following Schalke’s relegation from the Bundesliga last season.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Future of Dusan Vlahovic Still in Doubt<\/span><\/h3>\n

Fiorentina are yet to decide the future of in-demand striker Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian is reportedly attracting interest from Atletico Madrid, Manchester City<\/a> and Tottenham Hotspur.<\/a> But La Viola<\/em> are keen on tying the Serbian to a new contract. <\/span><\/p>\n

Fiorentina president Rocco Benito Commisso <\/span>recently stated<\/span><\/a> that the club will be willing to let the striker leave if they received a \u20ac100 million offer from any potential suitors.<\/span><\/p>\n
