Arsenal<\/a> right-back Hector Bellerin is reportedly still desperate to leave the club this summer, ten years after moving to north London from Barcelona’s youth academy.<\/p>\n

According to David Ornstein<\/a> of the Athletic, the 26-year-old has made it clear to Gunners manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu that he wants to find a new club, and is growing increasingly frustrated that Arsenal have yet to sanction his departure.<\/p>\n

Hector Bellerin Still Desperate to Leave Arsenal<\/h2>\n

Inter Milan Links Have Gone Cold<\/h3>\n

Bellerin has been expected to leave Arsenal throughout the current transfer window, so it was no surprise to see the Spaniard not involved in the club’s opening day defeat by newly-promoted Brentford.<\/p>\n

Calum Chambers played at right-back on the night as Bellerin watched his side crumble to a 2-0 loss from the substitutes’ bench. Given the player’s situation, it is not yet known if Bellerin will play for Arsenal again.<\/p>\n

Despite his strong desire to leave, any immediate transfer for Bellerin does not appear forthcoming. The right-back had been in talks over a move to Serie A champions Inter Milan<\/a>, but Simone Inzaghi’s side appear to have cooled their interest in defensive signings following the exit of striker Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Nerazzuri have brought in Edin Dzeko<\/a> to replace Lukaku, and their financial position means signing Bellerin on a permanent deal – with Arsenal unwilling to negotiate a loan transfer – is not under consideration at this time.<\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta Looking to Respond to Opening Day Defeat<\/h3>\n

As the dust continues to settle on Arsenal’s lifeless performance in Friday’s loss at Brentford, Mikel Arteta has turned his attention towards the Gunners’ next league fixture, where they meet European champions Chelsea.<\/p>\n

Lukaku is expected to be involved in that fixture on Sunday, with the forward set to join training with new teammates throughout this week in the lead-up to the match.<\/p>\n

Arteta’s Arsenal will follow up their weekend game against Chelsea by facing Premier League champions\u00a0Manchester City as their difficult start to the season intensifies.<\/p>\n
