According to Alfredo Pedulla,<\/a> Inter Milan<\/a> are in talks with PSV Eindhoven to sign Dutch fullback Denzel Dumfries. The Italian club are confident that a deal can get done for \u20ac15 million plus bonuses. If the PSV man does arrive, he\u2019ll offer much-needed quality down the right-hand side- an area which doesn\u2019t look the same after Achraf Hakimi\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n

Dumfries gained many admirers after his performances at Euro 2020<\/a>, where he starred despite Netherlands\u2019 early exit. He\u2019ll hope to carry that form into the new season, whether that is with Inter Milan or PSV.<\/p>\n

The summer after winning a league title should be full of positives; it offers the chance for the new kings to flex their power of the crown, and add to an already stacked squad. But Inter have done the opposite. They breathed a sigh of relief as they lifted the Scudetto before simply saying \u2018ciao\u2019 to the key men.<\/p>\n

It started with Antonio Conte, the mastermind behind the silverware, and now it looks set to carry on with Romelu Lukaku, who is off to Chelsea.<\/a> The fact is, despite the title, Inter were still one of the biggest European clubs most impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

The fans will be relieved to hear some good nears; whilst those involved at the top of the club will be thankful for a potential bargain. Dumfries ticks every box necessary for a modern-day fullback. To put it simply, he is an athletic powerhouse whilst holding the needed technical traits.<\/p>\n

Going forward, he should replicate what Hakimi previously offered. Meanwhile, defensively, he is far from a liability. For such a small price, Inter must wrap the deal up for Denzel Dumfries this summer, as they look to retain their Italian crown.<\/p>\n
