Liam Delap and Daryl Dike are on West Bromwich Albion’s transfer radar, reports Joseph Masi of The Express & Star<\/a>. In search of a striker, the Baggies are said to have shortlisted both players.<\/p>\n

Ismael’s Side in Need of a Striker<\/h3>\n

With the transfer window shortly closing, West Bromwich Albion are on the hunt for a striker. Their search has now created a shortlist with Liam Delap and Daryl Dike on that list.<\/p>\n

Dike is a familiar face for manager Valerien Ismael. The American played under Ismael last season during a loan spell at Barnsley. The 20-year-old scored nine goals in 19 appearances for the Tykes as they reached the Championship play-off semi-finals.<\/p>\n

This signing would perhaps be most ideal, as there is an existing relationship between Dike and Ismael. Also, not forgetting that the striker had a strong showing in the Championship last season. The young American left a lasting impression during a brief spell, so there could be a lot more to come from the Orlando City player.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Liam Delap is also reportedly being targeted by the club. The Manchester City<\/a> youngster has slowly been touted for a bright future. The 18-year-old has scored 24 goals in 22 games in the Premier League 2 as well as eight goals in 18 Premier League U18 appearances.<\/p>\n

The England U19 international made one first-team appearance last season. He came off the bench to feature for City in their 5-2 defeat to Leicester City<\/a>. Despite not yet being given a chance to prove himself, a loan move to West Brom could be ideal for both parties.<\/p>\n

However, considering Dike has already been somewhat successful, even during a brief stint in the second-tier, perhaps his best days could be ahead at The Hawthorns.<\/p>\n

It could be a case of going for a young prospect and taking a chance or going for what the manager knows.<\/p>\n
