According to Adam Leventhal<\/a>, Philip Zinckernagel looks set to join Nottingham Forest. Last month, speculation began about a loan deal happening,<\/a> now it appears to be almost a done deal.<\/p>\n

Philip Zinckernagel Likely to Join Nottingham Forest on Loan<\/h2>\n

Departure From Watford Looking Likely for Philip Zinckernagel<\/h3>\n

Following their promotion back to the Premier League, Watford<\/a> have been busy this window. Preparing for life in the top-flight once again, they will be hoping to stay put for even longer than their previous tenure.<\/p>\n

Philip Zinckernagel joined the Hornets this past January, with the Dane joining the club on a free transfer from FK Bodo\/Glimt. However, the 26-year-old looks set to join the midlands club on loan.<\/p>\n

Zinckernagel appeared 20 times for the Hertfordshire side last season, scoring his first and only goal so far for the club, during their 6-0 riot against Bristol City. In the process, the twice capped Denmark international recorded five assists.<\/p>\n

The winger played a part in ensuring the club’s return to the top-flight. Some Watford fans are disappointed in his potential departure<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A Solid Addition for Chris Hughton<\/h3>\n

However, their loss could be Chris Hughton’s gain. The former Brighton & Hove Albion<\/a> manager has seen a huge overhaul this summer. With six players arriving and 12 departing, Hughton’s project is well underway in his first full season in-charge.<\/p>\n

Adding Championship success pedigree to the side might be the key to Forest’s success. Finishing 17th last season, the City Ground will be hopeful of a better campaign ahead. Factoring that this is Hughton’s first full season in-charge, alongside his success in the league, Forest fans can hope.<\/p>\n

If the loan deal is pushed over the line, it could be an interesting one. A player who has briefly played in the league but with great success could add some much need power for Hughton’s side. Watford’s loss could be Nottingham Forest’s gain.<\/p>\n
