Myron Boadu’s move from AZ Alkmaar to AS Monaco is now complete, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Ligue 1 club had been locked in with negotiations for over two weeks, but his move to south of France is now in its final stages.<\/p>\n

Romano’s tweet states<\/a> that an agreement with the Dutch club has been made, whilst personal terms have \u00a0also been met. A medical and the final pieces of paperwork are expected to be finalised during this weekend.<\/p>\n

AS Monaco Complete the Signing of AZ Alkmaar’s Myron Boadu<\/h2>\n

Myron Boadu is an Exciting Prospect<\/h3>\n

Joining the AZ academy at 13 years old, Boadu progressed through the ranks with the Dutch club before making his first-team debut in May 2018, playing 25 minutes at the end of a 6-0 win over PEC Zwolle.<\/p>\n

The young forward started the following season in excellent form, scoring three and assisting two in AZ’s first five fames, however, an ankle injury ruled him out for the vast majority of the remainder of the campaign.<\/p>\n

A fine 2019\/20 season came next, with Boadu netting 20 goals in all competitions. Last year was equally as fruitful for the promising forward. The 20-year-old netted 15 times in 31 Eredivisie games.<\/p>\n

Monaco Fight Off Late Competition<\/h3>\n

Romano’s tweet has confirmed<\/a> that OGC Nice’s late interest in the prolific forward will not materialise into anything, with Monaco winning the race.<\/p>\n

Monaco are highly ambitious after last season’s near miss at Ligue 1 glory, and it appears that Boadu is a signing who will certainly boost their chances of going one step further.<\/p>\n

Style of Play<\/h3>\n

According to a report from Total Football Analysis,<\/a> Boadu is an explosive and powerful forward, who likes to break the lines and get in behind of opposing defences.<\/p>\n

Despite his success from operating in this way, Boadu tends to drop deeper and connect the play. This makes him a very difficult player to mark and a real threat in attacking scenarios.<\/p>\n
