Leeds United<\/a> have agreed to sign goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson from Valrenga, pending a medical, according to Fabrizio Romano<\/a>. The Norwegian’s absence during their Norwegian Cup win over Lyn had sparked rumours about a potential exit from the club. The Norwegian will replace Kiko Casilla<\/a>, who moved to Elche on loan.<\/p>\n

Kristoffer Klaesson to Join Leeds United from Valerenga<\/h2>\n

The Goalkeeper Will Replace Kiko Casilla in First Team<\/h3>\n

Leeds United have reportedly signed Norway U21 international Kristoffer Klaesson from Norwegian side Valerenga. The goalkeeper has already agreed to personal terms with the club and will sign a five-year contract until 2026. The Norwegian will have his medicals this week with his work permit expected to get approval soon.<\/p>\n

Klaesson arrives at Elland Road to provide cover and competition to Illan Meslier. The Norwegian will have Elia Caprile vying with him for a place as the team’s second-choice goalkeeper. Leeds had been a bit short in goal following the departure of Kiko Casilla on loan. The former Real Madrid<\/a> man had returned to Spain to join Elche on a season-long loan deal.<\/p>\n

Leeds United Doing their Business Quick<\/h3>\n

Leeds United have been going about with their transfer business quietly. The Whites had released some of their longest-serving players, like Barry Douglas, Ezgjan Alioski, Pablo Hernandez and Gaetano Berardi at the end of last season. They have quietly gone about replacing them with young blood.<\/p>\n

Jack Harrison was high on the wishlist and Leeds signed the player on a permanent deal from Manchester City<\/a> early in July. Highly-rated winger, Amari Miller also made the move to Marcelo Bielsa’s side during late June. Junior Firpo also arrived from Barcelona<\/a> in early July. Leeds also recently signed highly-rated Chelsea academy graduate Lewis Bate<\/a>. Kristoffer Klaesson will be the fifth player to join Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season.<\/p>\n
