Liverpool<\/a> winger Harry Wilson is set to complete a move to Fulham<\/a>, according to David Lynch.<\/a> The news comes as no surprise when considering his place in the squad, or more, the lack of a place. He has always shown potential when on loan, perhaps enough to earn a chance. That opportunity never did arrive, however, and now a permanent exit looms.<\/p>\n

As for Fulham, they\u2019re getting themselves the perfect player to boost their promotion hopes. Relegated after just one campaign back in the Premier League last season, the Cottagers will be desperate to bounce back under new guidance in Marco Silva.<\/p>\n

Despite their recent success on the pitch, the way Liverpool run in the boardroom has not changed; they remain a club who often sell before they buy, and this summer could be a prime example of that. Ibrahima Konate remains the exception to the rule, arriving at the beginning of the summer,<\/a> but the rest of the incomings will need to wait for funds to be raised.<\/p>\n

Wilson\u2019s move could play a huge part in the Reds\u2019 transfer business. Selling for a reported \u00a310 million, the Welshman should boost Liverpool\u2019s funds, potentially resulting in the arrival of a midfielder to replace the departed Georginio Wijnaldum.<\/p>\n

If the former Cardiff City loanee does leave, he\u2019ll join Marko Grujic and young striker Taiwo Awoniyi out of the Anfield exit door. The aforementioned duo sold for a combined \u00a317 million, meaning that Wilson\u2019s sale would take the fee to \u00a327 million.<\/p>\n

In truth, Fulham should come away from the deal happier than Liverpool should it go through. They are getting themselves one of the best wingers at Championship level. He ticks boxes for goal involvement and experience despite being just 24-years-old, leaving Fulham in a position to gain a key asset in their bid for promotion.<\/p>\n
