Fulham are the club most interested in signing Liverpool<\/a>\u00a0winger Harry Wilson this summer, according to Neil Jones of Goal.<\/a><\/p>\n

Fulham Eager to Sign Harry Wilson<\/h2>\n

Harry Wilson and His Loan Spells Have Impressed Fulham<\/h3>\n

The player has floated around from club to club throughout his career so far, spending various loan stints at a number of Championship clubs. Most recently, he impressed for Cardiff City<\/a> in the second tier.<\/p>\n

However, rather than ship the Welsh international out on another loan again this transfer window, it appears now could be the time to move him on permanently.<\/p>\n

The club most likely to test the Reds\u2019 resolve with a permanent bid is believed to be Fulham.<\/p>\n

They know that Wilson is more than capable of producing the goods on a regular basis in the Championship and with the side relegated to the second tier – and with them desperate for an instant return back to the Premier League – they will know that adding the forward to their ranks could boost their chances of an instant promotion next season.<\/p>\n

Hefty Price-Tag for Forward<\/h3>\n

However, he won\u2019t come cheap.<\/p>\n

Liverpool still want around \u00a315 million for the player and it\u2019s a fairly significant fee for a side now plying their trade outside of the top flight. If they want to try and gather the right kind of player though, then it may be a fee they are resigned to paying.<\/p>\n

There has been interest from elsewhere too, with even clubs outside of England eager to bring the player in. Benfica is the most notable, with the Portuguese side happy to take Wilson this summer.<\/p>\n

However, no official agreement has been reached yet and the player remains available to anyone that wants him.<\/p>\n

No Official Harry Wilson Bid From Fulham as of Yet<\/h3>\n

Fulham have yet to lodge an official bid but the interest is there and if they can stump up the funds, then it could be a signing worth going for.<\/p>\n

Wilson certainly has the experience and know-how of the league that they would desire. The 24-year old managed 18 goal contributions in total for Cardiff in the 2020\/21 campaign. That\u2019s in 37 games and gives him a tremendous average of 0.58 goals or assists every 90 minutes.<\/p>\n

Tremendous Record at Derby<\/h3>\n

Even before he impressed in his native country last season, Wilson was known as a player who can play at the very top end of the second tier. During his loan at Derby County<\/a>, he managed a similar record of 18 goal contributions in 40 games, with 15 of those being goals.<\/p>\n

It prompted Bournemouth to try him out in the Premier League during their relegation season of \u00a02019\/20 and, although his contributions decreased (Wilson managed seven goals and no assists), he only played 18 lots of 90 minutes compared to 35.2 for Derby and 31.2 for Cardiff.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s certainly proven then that he would be worth the price tag attached to him and that he would be a player able to produce the goods in the second tier for any side that wants him. If Fulham were to add him to their side, it would go a long way to helping them compete at the right end of the table – and therefore it might be worth finding the funds and bringing Wilson to the club.<\/p>\n
