Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> are reportedly considering a bid for Porto midfielder Vitinha. football.london’s<\/a> Daniel Orme reports that with a deal for defender Takehiro Tomiyasu nearing completion, the club have now turned their attention to other positions in the squad and have identified Vitinha as a possible target.<\/p>\n

Spurs Could Make Move for Vitinha<\/h2>\n

Player Offered to Spurs<\/h3>\n

Vitinha, 21, is said to have been offered to Spurs by his agent, Jorge Mendes, for around \u20ac20 million (\u00a317 million). The player has previously worked with Spurs’ new boss Nuno Espirito Santo, having been on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> last season during Nuno’s final campaign in charge.<\/p>\n

He made 22 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring the winner in a 1-0 win in the FA Cup against National League North side Chorley.<\/p>\n

Vitinha still has three years to run on his current contract at Porto, where he has been for the whole of his career bar the loan spell at Wolves.<\/p>\n

Having impressed at a young age, though, and given the relationship between Espirito Santo and Mendes, there is every chance this deal could be pushed through.<\/p>\n

At the moment, though, there have been no offers made and no discussions with either Vitinha or Porto regarding the move. It’s merely just a case of the youngster being one of the options Spurs are considering.<\/p>\n

Spurs have a number of midfielders whose futures at the club are uncertain, so it’s no surprise to see them considering reinforcements in this area.<\/p>\n

Harry Winks was linked with a move away in January<\/a> and has been linked with Aston Villa<\/a> more recently.<\/p>\n

As well, Eric Dier, who can play in midfield or defence, has been linked<\/a> with a move away, which also provides space at the back for the arrival of Tomiyasu.<\/p>\n
