Dion Sanderson Bid Rejected<\/b><\/h3>\n

According to a report by Simon Jones of the Mail Online<\/a>, Sunderland have seen a bid of \u00a31 million rejected by Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> for defender Dion Sanderson<\/a>. It is no secret that the Black Cats want to add the talented 21-year-old to their squad on a permanent basis following a successful loan spell last season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunderland\u2019s opening bid was quickly rejected, according to the report, with Wolves wanting around \u00a32 million. The Black Cats will need to act fast if they are to up their opening offer with several Championship clubs monitoring the situation. It is believed that Sheffield United<\/a>, Cardiff City<\/a>, Birmingham City<\/a>, Stoke City<\/a>, Luton Town<\/a> and Millwall<\/a>\u00a0are all interested.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Midfielder Set to Leave\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

Former Walsall captain George Dobson looks set to depart the club this summer. The midfielder has failed to impress since arriving and spent half of last season on loan at AFC Wimbledon<\/a>. However, according to the South London Press<\/a>, it appears unlikely that he will return to the Dons ahead of next season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wimbledon manager Mark Robinson said: \u201cWe love George and we made him an offer. But I\u2019m not sure we\u2019ll be able to meet what the player and the agent want. Our budget is what it is. We\u2019re going to be bottom three budget, at best, based on what I\u2019ve got.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sunderland Transfer Round-Up: Winger Linked With Move\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

According to Richard Mennear of the Sunderland Echo<\/a>, the Black Cats are one of several clubs that have taken an interest in Wigan Athletic<\/a> winger Viv Solomon-Otabor. The 25-year-old is out of contract this summer and can move on a free transfer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The winger, who made 31 appearances for the Latics last season, scoring twice, is also attracting interest from Charlton Athletic<\/a>, Blackpool<\/a>, Blackburn Rovers<\/a> and Portsmouth<\/a>.<\/p>\n
