The 27-year-old has been integral to Leipzig&#8217;s continued rise to the top end of the Bundesliga and his club&#8217;s excellent runs in Europe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">However, it seems that Sabitzer may be heading for pastures new this summer. Leipzig have already lost Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate to <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2021\/02\/14\/bayern-munich-confirm-dayot-upamecano-signing\/\" target=\"_self\">Bayern Munich<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2021\/05\/28\/ibrahima-konate-liverpool-2\/\" target=\"_self\">Liverpool<\/a>\u00a0respectively, and with Sabitzer seemingly ready to depart, the Bundesliga&#8217;s runners-up could be in for a summer of rebuilding.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Marcel Sabitzer Set to Become Cheaper This Summer<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Tottenham Hotspur Remain an Interested Party<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2021\/06\/10\/paulo-fonseca-tottenham-hotspur\/\" target=\"_self\">Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> have been long-time admirers of the Austrian international. The Lilywhites were previously put off by his \u20ac50 million price tag, but with a reduced fee expected, the North London club have since reignited their interest. <a href=\"https:\/\/theathletic.com\/news\/marcel-sabitzer-rb-leipzig-transfer\/LqXeDcgvuWql\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">According to The Athletic,<\/a> Sabitzer could be available for around a third of that price.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">There has also been no indication that the attack-minded midfielder will renew his contract at Leipzig, which expires in 12 months. In addition, Leipzig&#8217;s chairman, Oliver Mintzlaff, has confirmed that the club are looking to reduce the size of the squad, suggesting his sale could be prioritised.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Tottenham Will Face Some Competition at Least<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It is believed that several Premier League clubs have previously monitored the midfielder.
